APiJET Proven Partner Program

As Airline interest grows to deploy the APiJET Smart Aircraft™ System, the Proven Partner Program was created to ensure that all the components work well together. Airline customers want the confidence in knowing all the components in an end-to-end solution will integrate and work well together and most importantly that APiJET and its partners are available to resolve any issues. The APiJET Proven Partner Program highlights those partners who have worked with us to prove our joint products and services work well together.

APiJET Proven Partner Program Categories and Requirements

The APiJET Smart Aircraft™ System can interact with several different categories of technology. Each category has its own requirements and requires testing before becoming approved.

Onboard Hardware

These Onboard Hardware systems need to provide adequate system resources and have the ability to easily host and deploy the APiJET software stack.

Software Applications and Sensors

Ability to send data to software applications and receive data from sensors, using REST API, standardized ARINC interfaces (e.g. ARINC 834) or functional equivalents.

Connectivity

To ensure that data can be sent to and from the aircraft while inflight and on the ground.  Partners need to be able to provide the APiJET Smart Aircraft System an IP (“internet protocol”) link as well as configure certain network attributes (IP’s, ports, etc).

Consultants and Software vendors

Partners in this category have worked with the APiJET Smart Aircraft System, and are familiar with its capabilities and how aircraft data can help airline customers operate more efficiently.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the APiJET Partner Program cost anything to participate?

No.  At this time there is no fee to submit your product to the APiJET Proven Partner Program however a representative article may be required. The process, which can be found above, starts with an initial discussion where we determine how your product or service would interact with the Smart Aircraft™ System. If we jointly agree that our products would work well together and it makes business sense to partner, steps would be determined for testing.

Does the system require specific hardware?

No.  The Smart Aircraft System runs on any certified server hardware that can accept third party applications, including IFE and IFC servers.  No matter which hardware is used, the Smart Aircraft Solution provides a standardized output. This means airlines have maximum flexibility around hardware now and into the future. We can recommend hardware from our preferred 3rd Party Compatibility Program as necessary.

Does the system require specific connectivity?

No. The Smart Aircraft System can use any available IP connection inflight or on the ground.

How does the system get data and what kinds of data can it handle?

The Smart Aircraft System receives data in a read-only fashion from certified Aircraft Interface Devices and Modules. The system can handle any type of data including ARINC 717, 429, 629, discrete data and others.

Is the system secure?

Yes, on a number of different levels. At the most basic level, the Smart Aircraft System is read-only. We cannot transmit data into the aircraft systems. Please contact us with specific questions.

Can I develop and use my own proprietary IP on the system?

Yes. The APiJET Actor enables the custom configuration of internally developed analytic IP.
